National Geographic Digital Motion Adds More than 170 Hours of HD Content to its Video Footage Library

National Geographic Digital Motion announced new partnerships and acquisitions that will expand its HD offerings by more than 170 hours. Digital Motion is acquiring partial collections from Pawel Achtel and Bernd Pröschold and has secured licensing agreements with BlackLight Films, GOE, Glusic and J Michael Media. The deals bring to the library a vast range of HD footage, from spectacular time-lapse sequences of the Milky Way to the vibrant undersea world.

Live Earth/SOS Teams Up with National Geographic Digital Film Archive

On July 7, Live Earth/SOS will use footage from National Geographic Digital Motion (NGDM), the digital film archive containing moving images from more than 40 years of National Geographic wildlife and other documentary film production, to help convey the true impact of the climate crisis. Video will be displayed on Jumbotrons at the live concerts and as part of the global broadcast that will be carried worldwide by over 100 television networks and LiveEarth.msn.com.
